The greedy goblin

This is no ordinary suitcase… Set deep within an ancient forest, we meet a young Goblin and their home.

The forest is full of trees with plenty of nuts and berries to eat, and space for Goblin to run, skip and hop. The Goblin is happy with his home.

Through the changing seasons, Goblin meets the other creatures in the forest and visits their homes. From meeting them, Goblin compares his own home and starts noticing what he does not have. He becomes jealous and decides the build the biggest home in all the land.

What happens when we take more than we need? What will really make Goblin happy? How will the creatures all survive together? Will they share?

This performance runs for 20 mins and is ideal for Key Stage 1 though can be enjoyed by anyone. It is interactive and is educative on seasons, animal habitats and social development.

Pan also shares tips on making puppets and sets using recycled materials.

The set and puppets are all handmade by Pan Ini.

To enhance the themes and teachings of the story, the show is optionally followed by a workshop which engages everyone in a discussion about sharing.

The performance suits well on Zoom as well as in person, has been performed in schools, online and at festivals.
